Clyde Fields

TIMES & DEMOCRAT, DECEMBER 28, 1990

Clyde Fields, 66, of Church Street, Livingston, S.C., died Friday at the Medical University Hospital in Charleston.  The funeral will be held at 3 p.m. Sunday at Sunny Vista Church of God with the Rev. Clifton Whitman officiating.  Burial will be in the church cemetery.  Pallbearers will be M. J. Morton, John Valentine, Rexie Williams, W. J. Fields, Vern FIelds and Rudolph Carr.  Honorary pallbearers will be men of Sunny Vista Church of God.  Mr. Fields was born in Orangeburg County, a son of the late Tommy Fields and Everline Chavis Fields.  He was employed by American Yard Products in Orangeburg.  He was a member of Emery Honey Club in Bamberg and Sunny Vista Church of God.  Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Mary Alice Herron Fields of the home; a daughter, Mrs. Alice Lolova Still of Livingston; three sons, Vinson Louis Fields of York, T. Arlen Fields of Neeses and Mervin Ellis Fields of Barnwell; a brother, Filmore FIelds of Norway; three half-sisters, Mrs. Hazel Hancock of Holly Hill and Mrs. Mary Alice Thompson and Mrs. Rosemary Gartman, both of Orangeburg; three half-brtohers, Herman Lee Robinson, Thomas A. Robinson and Tony Robinson, all of Orangeburg, and nine grandchildren.  The family will receive friends at the residence after 1 p.m. Saturday.  Culler Funeral Home in North is in charge of arrangements.
