Tom Fields Injured When Slashing Belt Knocks Him Down

TOM FIELDS INJURED WHEN SLASHING BELT KNOCKS HIM DOWN
FORK SECTION, AUG. 21 -- Tom Fields, a tenant on the place of D.H. Bair was severly injured Tuesday afternoon when a belt at a sawmill same off and hit him with such force as to know him down, and continued to lambast him a number of times, inflicting injuries in the abdomen and chest, mashing and mangling his body and arms.  The result of the injuries are uncertain.
