Annie Ellen Chavis Fields

Mrs. Annie Ellen Chavis Fields Black, 71, of Route 3, Box 1185, Orangeburg, died Sunday at the Regional Medical Center. Arrangements will be announced by Thompson Funeral Home. Mrs. Black was born in Orangeburg, a daughter of the late Hillard Augustus Chavis and Annie Chavis Chavis. She was a member of Sunny Vista Church of God. Survivors include three sons, Warren Fields, Jr. of Monks Corner, Arthur C. Fields of Texas and Harvey E. Fields of Turkey; three daughters, Mildred Criddle of Tennessee, Carolyn Lowery of Alabama and Martha Gilliam of Orangeburg; two sisters, Eunice  Davis and Myra Chavis, both of Orangeburg; 12 grandchildren; and four great grandchildren. The family will receive friends from 7 to 9 p.m. Monday at Thompson Funeral Home. Friends may call at the residence and at the funeral home. TIMES & DEMOCRAT, MONDAY, OCT. 3, 1988
